Teaching at Disrupted Academy

To become a teacher at Disrupted Academy is to enter a world of education that inspires and challenges. Teaching at DA is not just about subject matter and curriculum, although these are critically important, but it is about developing deep and substantial understandings of our creative, curious, and committed students. Each day, in each class and activity, DA teachers are asked to create and deliver learning experiences with a goal of reaching every student and helping those students to develop the skills, understandings, and habits of mind that will prepare them for further learning and engagement with the world as well as to reflect on their own learning and relationship with the world.

DA faculty are not departmentalized in the way that faculty at other schools are. While faculty members have areas of specialization, all members of the faculty are responsible for developing a community of learners. This means that faculty members do a great deal of cross-learning with each other.
